How Little Giant Beekeepers collects, uses and protects your personal information, including our policy on mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent.
Little Giant Beekeepers ("we", "us", "our") operates littlegiantbeekeepers.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the calls, emails and text messages that follow from it.
The short version
We collect what we need in order to quote and carry out bee and wasp removal, and nothing we collect is sold. We do not share your mobile phone number or your text messaging consent with anyone for marketing purposes.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site, or use the chat assistant, we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, the city or ZIP code where the problem is, the service you are asking about, anything you type in the message box, and a photograph if you choose to attach one. If you use the chat assistant, we also keep the conversation so whoever calls you back has the context you already gave.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site or search that sent you. We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement, described below.
Call tracking. Some phone numbers shown on this site are tracking numbers that route to our offices. Calls to them may be logged, and in some cases recorded, so we can tell which pages and campaigns generate enquiries.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry, quote the work and schedule a visit
- To contact you about a job in progress, including by phone, email and text message
- To keep records of work carried out and warranties issued
- To understand which pages and advertisements bring people to the site
- To detect and prevent spam and abuse of our forms
Text messages and your mobile number
If you give us a telephone number, you consent to be contacted at that number by Little Giant Beekeepers, including by call and by SMS text message, about your enquiry and your job. Message frequency varies with your activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages, or HELP for assistance. Opting out of text messages does not stop us calling you about a job you have booked.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We do use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, under contract and only for the purposes we direct:
- Mailchimp Transactional (Mandrill) — delivers the notification email when you submit a form, and the confirmation email back to you
- Anthropic — provides the AI model behind the chat assistant. What you type into the chat is sent to that service to generate a reply
- Google (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager) — website analytics and advertising measurement
- Meta (Facebook) — advertising measurement
- TrackDrive — call tracking, as described above
Analytics and advertising providers receive technical and behavioural data such as pages viewed and advertisement interactions. They do not receive your mobile number or your text messaging consent.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Where enquiries are stored
Form submissions, chat transcripts and any photographs you attach are stored on our own server. Uploaded photographs are not published anywhere on this website and are not publicly accessible.
Cookies and your choices
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some measurement will be incomplete. Most browsers also offer a "Do Not Track" setting. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's browser add-on, and you can control advertising personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Texas residents and residents of other states with applicable privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not charge you for a reasonable request.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
